Walk Against Want was first held in 1967 to raise awareness of the plight of women in the world’s poorest communities who are forced to walk long distances each day to collect clean water. Now in its 51st year, thousands of people have participated in this event raising millions of dollars for Oxfam Australia's long-term development work in around 30 countries worldwide, including Australia. Please support my 2017 Eastern Suburbs Walk Against Want on Sunday 7 May.
